![]() How often have you been to dinner when 1 or 2 friends were running 20–30 minutes late? Well, too bad. It felt like I was dining in a fast food restaurant, and that churn was more important than the experience of the guest(s). This 90-minute session makes that impossible. This is a significant adverse change, in my opinion.Īfter a busy week, you want to relax, enjoy a meal, have a few wines and have good conversations with friends. These sessions are about 90 minutes long. You can book a session from either 6 pm–7:30 pm or 7:30 pm to 9 pm. Maybe they existed before, I'm not sure, but I'd never experienced them in all the times I've eaten there over the years. Something I had never experienced before. I recently (post-COVID) ate out there and became aware of their 'sessions'. Some changes have negatively impacted the Maestral experience to the point where I don't think I'll return. The renovations look fantastic and have pulled the restaurant into a more classy experience. In the last 2–3 years, I rarely, if ever, ate out, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Maestral had renovated entirely during that time. I've spent many special occasions celebrating with family and friends and recommending it to everyone looking for a fantastic meal in a great environment by people who care deeply.Īs with most people, COVID impacted my eating out habits. I've been coming to this restaurant for a long time, and it has been, hands down, the best restaurant in Canberra.
